Each year, members and guests gather at Brock House to commemorate those (especially in our membership) who fought for our freedom. Join us this year for a full program as we remember their sacrifices.
This year's speaker is
Luke Bokenfohr. Coffee & tea will be available.
Luke Bokenfohr, MEd, RCC, is a combat veteran, front-line police officer, and community advocate who has spent his life in service to others. A former Royal Marine Commando who served operational combat deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Luke understands firsthand the profound physical, psychological, and personal transitions service members experience when returning to civilian life.
Following his military service, Luke earned a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia, specializing in trauma recovery, veteran reintegration, and community mental health initiatives. Today, he continues his dedication to public safety as a front-line Patrol Constable with the Vancouver Police Department while maintaining his clinical practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Through his post-service work—which has included interviewing WWII veterans about their return to civilian life and education, co-authoring published research on veteran transition, as well as using research-based theatre to share veterans' stories internationally—Luke works tirelessly to bridge the gap between military service and civilian life.
Deeply passionate about honour, family, and intergenerational healing, Luke remains dedicated to preserving veterans' legacies, supporting military families, and fostering connection across generations.
