Volunteer Opportunities
Brock House Society can't operate without volunteers who help in all areas:
Committees
Join a committee and share your expertise or learn something new. Each director leads at least one standing committee. See Management
for a list of directors and their areas of responsibility.
Office
Office volunteers run the daily operations of the Society under the guidance of the Administrator and Assistant Administrator, assisting members face-to-face and over the phone.
Cafeteria Food Services
Food Services volunteers are responsible for counter service and cashier in the conservatory cafeteria. No food preparation is involved. There are a variety of shifts available.
Library
Library volunteers assist other members in the library, ensure that newspapers and periodicals are available, reshelve returned materials, and generally keep the area tidy.
Greeters
A greeter's job is to welcome Members and Guests in a friendly manner, assist / direct other persons who enter the house, and encourage prospective members to join the Society.
Socials
Volunteers with the Socials Committee create fun monthly events for members of Brock House Society. During a Social, volunteers take on a variety of responsibilities including setting tables, serving food, pouring coffee and tea, assembling flower arrangements, taking tickets on site, issuing door prize tickets and selling tickets. Upon completion of the Social, volunteers may assist Brock House Society staff with clearing the tables.
Special events
Help out at our fairs and other events.
Register your volunteering interests at Volunteer Interests and a convener will contact you.
