Blooming Connections offers a hands-on floral design experience that invites participants to explore the emotional and cultural significance of flowers while connecting with themselves and others through open dialogue and creative exploration. Participants will learn the fundamentals of floral design and create a garden-style arrangement to take home, using natural materials and sustainable practices in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

Bio: Sydney Witoski (she/her) is the founder and lead of Flower House, a research-informed
engagement and floral design practice specializing in community events and programming,
with a specific focus on utilizing the multi-sensory medium of floral design to foster
meaningful participation and insight. Bringing a multi-disciplinary background in social
research, design and public space Flower House explores how we design spaces and what
makes them places.

This course is open to non-members.

Member registration opens on Tuesday, August 25 at 10 am.
Non-member registration opens on Tuesday, September 1 at 10 am.

Cancellation Policy:
Please read the Brock House Society refund policy prior to registering for activities (courses, events, tours) that have a fee.

- There is a $15 processing fee for ALL cancellations.
- To ensure that classes and events can go ahead as planned, members must cancel a class or event no later than 3 days prior to the start/event date to be eligible for refunds. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- To be eligible for a refund of tours, cancellation requests must be received 7 days prior to the tour. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- If Brock House needs to cancel a course/event/tour due to low attendance, a full refund will be provided.
