Instructor: Cui Yan
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice with over 4,000 to 7,000 years of history, focusing on cultivating and balancing qi (life energy) through coordinated movement, breathing, and meditation.
In celebrating World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, Brock House is offering a one-day workshop with Cui Yan on
Monday, April 27 from
11 am to 12 noon. This beginner-friendly Qigong program is designed especially for older adults. Participants will be introduced to simple breathing techniques, gentle movements, and relaxation exercises that support balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. The session is slow-paced, easy to follow, and adaptable for varying mobility levels, including seated options. No prior experience is required. Join us to reduce stress, boost energy, and enjoy a calm, supportive group environment.
This one-day workshop is open to non-members, bring a friend and/or a family member to try out this ancient Chinese practice.
If there is sufficient interest, Angela Wong—a current student of Cui Yan and a Brock House member—may offer a series of beginner classes following the workshop this summer.
