Trees of Brock House

About this event

Presented by Nina Shoroplova

Some of the ornamental trees around Brock House were planted 111 years ago, and the native trees are considerably older than that. Learn about their history on a one-hour walk through the Brock House grounds led by Nina Shoroplova, tree expert and author of “Legacy of Trees: Purposeful Wandering in Vancouver's Stanley Park." Nina’s remarks will draw from Jo Pleshakov's book, "Thorley House to Brock House: From Family Home to Heritage Landmark, 1912-2012." **

**Jo Pleshakov is giving her presentation on The Story of Our Heritage House on the same day at 10:30 am, be sure to join, and grab lunch in between. **

We will meet under the bigleaf maple tree across the front entrance at 12:45 pm to begin the walk at 1 pm.
