AC203 Marbling Art Wellness Workshop

Marbling is an art form created on water to produce flowing, patterned designs. This workshop will be rooted in the Persian tradition of Marbling called Abr o Bad (cloud and wind). Participants will learn about the cultural role, artistic techniques, and the healing potential of marbling as a meditative process. We will use three foundational tools to make a wide variety of patterns, and learn how to combine them. We will begin by marbling on paper, then experiment with leaves to discover new textures while exploring environmentally friendly art practices.

Our 4-session series focuses on a relaxed and calm environment, with each session featuring a unique theme.

Session 1: Foundation (Teal) – Grounding. Ambient soundscapes and water textures.
Session 2: Spark (Amber) – Engagement. Acoustic instrumentation and soft focus.
Session 3: Deep Dive (Navy) – Introspection. Slow-tempo piano and meditation.
Session 4: Social Connection

Non-member registration opens on Tuesday, March 31 by phone or in person only. (no online registrations)

Cancellation Policy:

Please read the Brock House Society refund policy prior to registering for activities (courses, events, tours) that have a fee.

- There is a $15 processing fee for ALL cancellations.
- To ensure that classes and events can go ahead as planned, members must cancel a class or event no later than 3 days prior to the start/event date to be eligible for refunds. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- To be eligible for a refund of tours, cancellation requests must be received 7 days prior to the tour. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- If Brock House needs to cancel a course/event/tour due to low attendance, a full refund will be provided.
