Convened by Heather Merilees
Porcelain painting is an ancient art refreshed by modern techniques. We decorate quality, pre glazed porcelain with over glaze pigments mixed with a variety of mediums and applied by brush, pen or stencil. Painted items are then fired in the Brock House kiln at about 1300 F (700 C)to bond the pigments to the glaze. Unless foodsafe pigments are used, painted items are for decorative use only. Some painting experience required. Basic supplies and some assistance available.
