Trees of Brock House (repeated 2nd walk)
About this event
Presented by Nina Shoroplova
This is a repeated walk as the one offered on Monday, May 5 to accommodate more members and their non-members friends and family.
Some of the ornamental trees around Brock House were planted 111 years ago, and the native trees are considerably older than that. Learn about their history on a one-hour walk through the Brock House grounds led by Nina Shoroplova, tree expert and author of “Legacy of Trees: Purposeful Wandering in Vancouver's Stanley Park." Nina’s remarks will draw from Jo Pleshakov's book, "Thorley House to Brock House: From Family Home to Heritage Landmark, 1912-2012."
We will meet under the horsechestnut tree across the front entrance at 9:50 am to begin the walk at 10am.
