For all levels—absolute beginner to experienced singer. Vocal Inventions is inspired by the circle singing of Bobby McFerrin. Singers are divided into groups and each group sings a part created by Martina in the moment. You simply sing what is sung to you. The parts and voices build until a new improvised song grooves along. You are welcome to solo over the choir if you like, but there’ll be no pressure. It’s a fun way to sing, connect, and get happy. In this
example of a choir in action, all participants were complete strangers with little to no singing experience.
Martina has studied, performed, and taught vocal improv for over 20 years. She has performed at music festivals, at the Orpheum, and at clubs in New York, Europe and Vancouver. You can read more about her

Please arrive five minutes early. Bring a water bottle. No perfume please.
